Program dates: July 9 - 29, 2017                   

Tuition
Program tuition is $2,700. However, some courses have an additional $50 lab fee. Tuition covers room, board, instructional staff, textbook/s, field trips (if applicable), and most recreational activities.

Registration Fee
Payment of the $400 registration fee must be made at the time of application. The registration fee is non-refundable and includes a $50 application fee and a $350 course deposit. The $400 registration fee is applied to the total tuition reducing the student's balance by $400.

Discounts 

  1.  Should a family have two or more children who qualify for and enroll in ADVANCE, a $250 discount will be given to each student.

 

  2.  If the student is a dependent of a Northwestern State employee, a $200 discount will be given to the student.

 

Payment Options
Northwestern State accepts the following forms of payment: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa (including check cards), check, money order, or cashier's check.

If accepted to ADVANCE, the student's parents will be given the option of paying the balance by check or credit card. If paying by personal check, money order, or cashier's check, make it payable to NSU's ADVANCE Program. Should the parents choose to pay the balance by credit card, they may either print, complete, and mail the payment form to the ADVANCE office or they may make the payment through a secure web site by clicking this link:  Online Payment Link

Refund Policy
The $50 application fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

The $350 course deposit will be refunded only under the following circumstances:

  1.  The applicant is unable to be placed into any of the courses he or she selected on the application and is currently on the waiting list.

  2.  The applicant has applied for financial aid and either chooses to withdraw the program application or turn down the financial aid award, and notifies ADVANCE by March 13, 2017 (students entering grades 9 - 12) or April 27, 2017 (students entering grade 8).

The $350 course deposit will not be refunded under the following circumstances:

  1.  The applicant has been placed into a course of his or her choice and did not apply for financial aid.

  2.  The applicant has applied for financial aid and either chooses to withdraw the program application or turn down the financial aid award, and fails to notify ADVANCE by March 13, 2017 (students entering grades 9 - 12) or by April 27, 2016 (students entering grade 8).

NOTE: No refund will be granted if a student leaves the program early or if a student is asked to leave the program for poor academic effort or misconduct.
